    W h a t   i s   R e i k i ?

REIKI HEALING: Reiki is a Japanese word that means "guided universal life energy'. The practice originated in ancient Tibet and was used exclusively by Tibetan Monks. It was rediscovered in Japan in the 1890's by Dr Mikao Usui only making its way slowly to the west after the second world war. It is one of the simplest, most profoundly direct ways of focussing healing energy. This is why is has become the most well known of all the energy medicines.

Reiki is a safe and powerful hands-on healing technique that brings calm, clarity and stillness to your mind and healing to your body. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that brings your body back into balance and treats you as a whole person.

Reiki boosts your body’s ability to heal itself and can very successfully be applied to enhance the effectiveness of other therapies, including conventional healthcare.

Reiki Healing can help with most conditions as it supports the body`s natural ability to heal itself and to stay at optimum functioning levels. So in fact everybody can benefit from a Reiki Healing from time to time! However recent successful case histories include

Reiki works on many different levels. It brings all aspects of the receiver's being into harmonious balance, according to their individual needs and desires. It is a simple and powerful process, not based on any religious beliefs, that allows the energy to flow through the hands to wherever it is needed.

W h a t   w i l l   m y   s e s s i o n   i n v o l v e?

During a healing session a trained practitioner attunes themselves to Reiki and channels it throught their hands. It functions on all levels; Mental, Physical, Emotional or Spiritual.

You can choose if you want to stay seated or lie down. Since you should be relaxed as possible it is advisable to wear loose comfortable clothes. The practitioner places their hands gently on, or over your body. You may feel Reiki as a flow of heat or a tingling sensation, some people see colours, some people just feel extremely relaxed and at ease.

After the treatment it is advisable to drink plenty of water to help flush out any toxins that may have been released, to rest , if tired, and to allow Reiki to continue to do its work in the following days.

Each session lasts for 1 hour.

   H o w   m u c h   d o e s   R e i k i   c o s t ?

A full hour treatment will cost £40.

   H o w   o f t e n   s h o u l d   I    b e   t r e a t e d ?

A single treatment may be enough for you, but generally a course of regular treatments may be more effective. Depending on your condition and your response to Reiki, several monthly, fortnightly or weekly treatments may be advisable. The practitioner will discuss this with you to meet your personal needs.

After experiencing the benefits of Reiki Healing many people like the idea of working with Reiki directly. Reiki is more than a healing technique, in its origin it is a spiritual path or discipline. For those wishing to embrace the simple Reiki principles in the daily life a series of Attunement Workshops are available.

An attunement is a very ancient sacred ceremony which fine tunes the physical and subtle bodies to a higher vibratory level by harmonising the Crown Third Eye and Heart Chakras, permitting them to receive and transmit Reiki. Once you have been attuned to Reiki you have it for life.

Reiki I: Consists of 4 attunements which are included in a one-day workshop. Fee £150.

Reiki II: Consists of 3 attunements - completed in a one-day workshop, which also includes detailed study of the Reiki symbols and their uses. Fee £200.

Each of these workshops has a maximum of 4 particpants.

Reiki III: A One-to-One 1-day workshop and includes the Master Attunement. Fee £320.

Each workshop participant receives a manual, a certificate and ongoing support through the Reiki Share Group>>
