What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a process of diagnosing and treating parts of the body that have become damaged or distressed, including joints, ligaments, muscles and nerves.

What can it treat?

- Back problems eg. Sciatica
- Frozen shoulder
- Headaches and Migraines
- Neuralgia and Sinus pain
- Posture problems
- Repetitive Strain Injury

How does it work?

Using manual manipulating and strectching techniques in combination with health advice, your therapist will aid in improving mobility, healing
and, therefore, your quality of life. By restoring the balance between mechanical and soft tissue, the body's overall or localised structure improves, and good health is restored.

What will my session involve?

During your initial consultation, details will be taken of your medical history, diet and lifestyle. As part of this initial consultation it is likely you will be asked to perform a number of simple movements to allow your osteopath to fully diagnose and form a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

The treatment itself involves the use of the hands to find problems in human structure and function.

How long is a session?

Initial consultation: 45-60 minutes
Follow up sessions: 30-45 minutes

How much does a session cost?

Initial consultation (inclusive of treatment): £35
Follow up sessions: £35

It is possible to claim against your private health insurance for this course of treatment, please check with your insurance company.
