Also known as Colonic Irrigation.
What is Colon Cleansing?
Colonic Hydrotherapy is an internal bath that helps cleanse the colon of poisons, gas, accumulated faecal matter and mucus deposits. Such techniques were first recorded in 1500 BC and have been used in traditional and naturopathic medicine since that time.
We use sterilised and disposable equipment only!
Filtered water is gently introduced into the rectum which progressively softens and expels faecal matter and compacted deposits that have built up through the stress and emotion of life today. Modern day life coupled with poor diet often low in fresh vegetables and dietary fibre can be just one of the factors that can contribute to the body becoming overwhelmed with toxins. Often resulting in symptoms such as; lack of energy, headaches, poor skin quality, skin problems, IBS, Constipation and Bloating.
Colonic hydrotherapy is more effective than an enema, since the whole colon is treated and water is not purposely retained. It is best used as a complimentary technique to other therapies also fantastic for those who are liver detoxing. Colonic Hydrotherapy improves elimination and responds well with nutritional changes, herbal, manipulative and other therapies.
Why Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy can contribute to restarting regular movement and thereby improving general health. Poor elimination can lead to many chronic conditions. Colonics can have a much broader effect offering additional benefits such as;
Re-educating the bowel
Re-establish more normal shape, form and regularity
Increase energy and wellbeing
Cleanse, tone and exercise the colon
Improves transit time
Increase the absorption of nutrients through the colon wall
What can it treat?
It may help prevent such thing as;
irritable bowel syndroms (IBS)
skin problems - (acne, eczema and psoriasis)
Colonic Hydrotherapy has been proven to imprve general alround health and wellbeing.
How does it work?
Filtered water at a carefully regulated temperature is introduced under gentle pressure through the rectum into the colon using disposable and sterilised equipment only. With special massage techniques, the water begins to soften and cleanse the colon of faecal matter and old deposits which are released through a waste pipe with the waste water.
Most people experience improved mental clarity after colonic hydrotherapy. With their toxic load diminished and elimination improved, a greater feeling of well being and lightness is felt. Obvious relief from bloating and constipation, toxic headaches and skin problems. In the longer term, bowel disease risk is also reduced and nutrients are better absorbed leading to improved all round health.
