Accent Body Contouring & Cellulite Reduction in Winchester

Radiofrequency has been operated in surgery for the last sixty years, and several years for body contouring and aesthetics. It heats the dermal layers of the skin's surface to instantly tighten loose skin. It also heats subcutaneous tissue that helps to break down fat deposits. It is ideal for loose skin after weight loss and a very effective treatment for cellulite on the arms, buttocks, thighs and abdomen.

Accent Radiofrequency body contouring is a very popular and effective treatment offered by us due to its toning effects. We also provide this treatment in combination with others such as the laser ilipo fat reduction treatment for targeted fat removal and inch loss.

FAQ

What is Accent Radiofrequency?
Accent Radiofrequency is applied via a hand piece which is moved across the target areas, channelling a radiofrequency current which heats the skin to around 40 degrees. Uniquely the Accent Radiofrequency system offers a unique cooling device making it a more comfortable and protective experience for the patient.

What conditions can be treated?
Loose Skin, Cellulite, loose skin and loose fat can be treated very effectively with our Accent Radiofrequency.

Who is suitable for Accent Radiofrequency?
The treatment suits those with loose skin after dramatic weight loss, or those with cellulite on the abdomen, arms, thighs and buttocks. Patients who undergo this procedure should have good overall health and during the consultation we will guide you through the process and get to understand your expectations and indeed whether they fit with the non-surgical treatment which is often the case.

Who is not suitable for Accent Radiofrequency?
Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are also not suitable candidates for the procedure. Those with pacemakers, metal plates or pins in the area to be treated or permanent implants such as Bio-Alcamid should avoid Accent Radiofrequency body contouring. The treatment should also be avoided by people suffering from severe heart disease and diseases of the connective and muscular tissue. This will of course be assessed during your consultation.

How does the treatment work?
Tightening increases local blood circulation, disintegration of fat cells, breakdown of fibrous tissue and drainage of the fatty deposits into the lymphatic system. Heating the skin causes the collagen to tighten and increases the level of collagen in the dermis, which tightens and rejuvenates the skin. With combination treatments more dramatic results are seen.

Are there any side effects associated with Accent Radiofrequency?
Patients may experience slight swelling or redness post-treatment. As part of our aftercare you will be advised on how to treat this if this occurs, which involves the application of an aloe vera gel. This causes the side effects to disappear in a few hours. Patients are also instructed to keep out of the sun and avoid UVA rays for 48 hours after the treatment.

Is the treatment painful?
The unique cooling system of the Accent Radiofrequency system means that the patient is not noticeably affected by the heating treatment. Most patients don't experience any discomfort and there is no need for any form of anaesthesia.

How effective is the treatment?
The treatment causes immediate changes due to contraction of the collagen fibres, and 70% of patients in Accent trials have noted an improvement in their contours. The full effects are not always seen for between two to three months whilst your body is producing new collagen.

The Accent Radiofrequency treatment offered by us is a progressive treatment so toning will continue to occur after the treatment is over also.

How long does the procedure take?
The first treatment will usually take around 45 minutes, but subsequent treatments will typically take 30 minutes. With no down time and none to little side-effects (mild erythema (redness) can occur) it is a perfect lunch hour procedure.

How many sessions will I require?
Most people need between 6-8 sessions at intervals for the Accent Radiofrequency treatment to be effective. In some cases, where the cellulite is very stubborn, further treatments may be necessary.

How long will the results last?
The results usually last up to two years.

How much can I expect to pay for Accent Radiofrequency?
We would normally recommend a course of 4-8 Accent Radiofrequency treatments, however this will depend on your individual requirements. We also have combination course prices, for more information please contact us.
