Did You Know?
Did you know that windy weather can effect our health. Wind in the body is like wind in nature. Any conditions that arise suddenly, come and go rapidly and go through many swift changes are due to 'wind'. Symptoms such as the common cold, influenza, neck pain, facial paralysis, severe dizziness and acute headaches can be due to wind. Although infections come from germs, unprotected exposure to 'wind' weakens our immune system. Protect yourself by wearing a scarf, adding gloves, hats and warm footwear if cold. Avoid draughts or wind created by fans and air conditioning of any kind. Especially avoid sleeping in a draught or sitting or standing directly in front of a fan.
