Acupuncture in Winchester is provided by Nicholas Bowden BAcC registered Acupuncturist.
Nicholas Bowden BSc.(Hons),Dip.Ac, MBAcC, Dip.CHM,MRCHM has over ten years of experience in Chinese Medicine, starting by learning Tai Chi and Qi Gong in 1997. In 2000 Nicolas qualified with a BSc.(Hons), in Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, from the London School of Acupuncture at the University of Westminster. He uses both traditional 8 principle and 5-element acupuncture as well as very gentle styles of Japanese acupuncture that are suitable for more sensitive patients.
Nicholas is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, and so is fully insured and undergoes regular professional development. He is also a Zita West affiliated acupuncturist, having a special interest in treating fertility issues, and having had further training and experience in fertility health.
In 2005 Nicholas spent several months in the Municipal hospital in Nanjing, China, where he trained under the supervision of Chinese doctors. From this experience he has extensive knowledge in treating muscular skeletal problems, skin problems, and depression and anxiety.
More recently Nicholas completed training in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Integrated College of Chinese Medicine. He is a fully qualified member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Nicholas uses herbs both to complement acupuncture treatment, and as a main treatment on its own.
Nicholas gives a professional, confidential, and caring treatment that incorporates all aspects of the patients lifestyle. He believes in involving patients as much as possible in their own health.
